I brought in my father's Seiko 5 that had been in a drawer for years. It wasn't running at all. The assessment was clear — they explained what was worn, what could be saved, and what it would cost. Nothing felt rushed. Three weeks later the watch was back and running. The service record they gave me was a nice touch.

The dial on my grandmother's old watch was faded and the hands had lost their colour. I was worried they would say it wasn't worth doing, but they took the time to look at it properly and suggested a hand replacement rather than a full dial treatment. Honest advice. The turnaround was a bit longer than I expected — about four weeks — but the result was good.

I have a vintage Longines that I inherited. I was nervous about handing it over anywhere — it has too much history to just leave with a stranger. These people were careful from the start. Written plan, explained every decision, kept the original finishing. It is running within about eight seconds a day now which I understand is good for a watch of its age.

My daily automatic was gaining about two minutes a day. Brought it in, they serviced it and returned it running nearly spot on. The explanation of the timing machine result was a detail I didn't expect — it showed they had actually tested it, not just said it was fine.

I went in not knowing whether my watch was worth servicing — it was a cheap gift from years ago that I have worn every day. They gave me an honest answer: worth a basic service but nothing more expensive than that. I appreciated that they didn't try to upsell. Watch is running fine now.

Sent my watch in from Khon Kaen by registered courier after speaking with them on the phone first. The whole process was handled by email — assessment photos, written plan, cost agreement. Collected after about six weeks. The restoration was done carefully and the documentation they sent back was thorough.

In Detail
A Few Cases Worth Describing
These accounts give a clearer picture of what the process looks like from start to finish.
A 1960s Omega Ranchero, inherited and unworn for twenty years
The Situation
The owner's uncle had worn this watch daily until the mid-1990s, then it had sat in a box. The movement had stopped, the mainspring was likely fatigued, and the crown would not turn smoothly. The owner wanted the watch running again without losing its original character.
What Was Done
Full disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, replacement of the mainspring and keyless works parts. The original dial, which had developed a beautiful cream patina, was left untouched at the owner's request. New hands were sourced to match the period style. The case was cleaned but not polished to preserve the original brushed surfaces.
The Outcome
Returned to the owner running at approximately +6 seconds per day. The owner now wears it regularly. Timeline was six weeks from assessment to collection. Total cost was discussed and agreed at the plan stage — no additions at collection.
"It looks exactly as it should. I didn't want it to look new."
A mid-range automatic with inconsistent timekeeping after a fall
The Situation
A daily wearer had been dropped from a desk. It continued running but was losing about three minutes a day and occasionally stopping overnight. The owner was unsure whether the damage was serious or whether a service might resolve it.
What Was Done
Inspection revealed the shock setting on one jewel had been displaced by the impact. The movement was cleaned and lubricated, the shock setting corrected, and the balance regulation adjusted. No parts needed replacing. The assessment described the issue clearly, and the owner agreed to a basic service scope.
The Outcome
Returned within three weeks running at +4 seconds per day. The owner expressed relief at the cost — less than they had expected, because the scope turned out to be smaller than the worst case. We reflected that in the invoice.
"They could have charged me for more and I wouldn't have known."
